HIREIQ ADVOCATE · ENGAGEMENT TERMS

What you are agreeing to when you engage an Advocate.

These terms apply to every HireIQ Advocate application and engagement. The signed engagement letter sets out your term, scope and fee; where it differs from this page, the letter prevails.

1. Who provides the service

HireIQ Advocate is provided by Talpro India Private Limited, B-Block, 4th Floor, 0741/A, 12th Main Road, Manipal County Road, opposite Star Market, AECS Layout, Singasandra, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560068, India (“Talpro”, “we”). HireIQ is a separate brand of Talpro. The service is a career advisory and representation service supplied by Talpro on its own account to you. Talpro is not your employer, not the employer’s agent and not a party to any employment contract you may enter into.

2. Applying

Applying is free and does not create an engagement. We review every application and answer in writing within five working days, giving the reason for our decision. We may decline any application, or place it on a waitlist when no place is open in the current quarter. Applications are processed under our privacy policy and used only to assess and run your engagement.

3. Leadership Diagnostic

Before an engagement starts we may ask you to take a paid Leadership Diagnostic. Its fee is shown to you in writing before you pay. If you then sign an engagement letter within 30 days of the Diagnostic, its fee is credited in full against the engagement fee.

4. The engagement letter

An engagement starts only when both sides have signed a written engagement letter. The letter states the term (six or twelve months), what is included, the fee, the payment schedule, the companies you have told us never to contact, and the consent rules for sharing your profile. The letter is valid for 15 days from the date we send it.

5. Fees and payment

Each engagement has one fixed fee for the whole term, set by the seniority of the role you are targeting and the term. The fee is payable for our advisory and representation work during the term. It is never a success fee, never a percentage of your salary, and never contingent on you being shortlisted, interviewed, offered or hired. Fees are not discounted. Six-month engagements are payable in full on signing; twelve-month engagements may be paid 60% on signing and 40% at the start of month five. GST is charged as applicable. Payments are made only to Talpro’s accounts through Razorpay or bank transfer against a Talpro invoice — never to a personal UPI ID, wallet or individual.

6. What we do

During the term we maintain your CareerOS 360 positioning documents, research and refresh a map of target companies, write and send approaches to hiring managers and CHROs at companies you approve, introduce you to executive search firms where relevant, prepare you for interviews and advise you on offers, and send you a written report every week. The volumes for your term are listed in your engagement letter. We take the first call when a company replies; every decision and every negotiation remains yours.

7. What we do not do

We do not promise or guarantee any shortlisting, interview, offer, salary or employment. We do not apply to jobs in your name without your approval, and we never ask for, hold or use your passwords for LinkedIn, job portals or email. We do not invent or overstate experience: everything we write about you must be traceable to evidence you have confirmed.

8. Consent before your name moves

No company or search firm receives your name or documents unless you have approved that company in writing (an email or the approval link we send is enough). Your current employer and every company on your exclusion list are never contacted. You may withdraw consent for any company at any time.

9. Independence

On your engagement we are paid only by you. Talpro and HireIQ take no fee from any employer for introducing you or for your hiring, and Talpro’s staffing and recruitment business will not submit you to any employer for a fee while your engagement is live. If a company you are targeting is a client of Talpro’s other businesses, we tell you in writing before approaching it.

10. Your part

You agree to give us accurate and current information, to tell us promptly about any approach, interview or offer you receive, and to review the weekly report and approval requests within a reasonable time. A search moves only as fast as your approvals.

11. Pause, early landing and ending

You may pause the engagement during a notice period for up to one month on a six-month term or two months on a twelve-month term; the term is extended by the pause. If you accept a role before the term ends, the remaining months are used for onboarding coaching in your new role. Either side may end the engagement on 15 days’ written notice for a material breach that is not remedied. Because the fee pays for work reserved and performed across the term, fees paid are not refundable except where the engagement letter or applicable law says otherwise.

12. Confidentiality and data

We keep your documents, search and correspondence confidential and share them only as described in section 8 or as the law requires. Your data is handled under our privacy policy and data retention policy. If we decline an application, or you withdraw it, its personal details are erased 12 months after that decision. You can ask us to erase them sooner at any time.

13. Liability

Our advice is general career guidance, not legal, tax or immigration advice. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with an engagement is limited to the fees you paid for it, and we are not liable for an employer’s decisions or for indirect or consequential loss.

14. Law and grievances

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to your rights under consumer protection law. Complaints can be raised through our grievance process.
