01
Leadership scope
Useful briefs may concern functional heads, directors, vice presidents, executive leadership or board-related needs. A title alone does not establish the required seniority.
State the geography, revenue or operating scale, team, governance responsibilities and decisions the person will own. Explain whether the role is a new capability, a succession requirement or a replacement.
02
Industry context
Technology and fintech, manufacturing and supply chain, and pharma and life sciences are existing discussion areas on HireIQ. They are not a promise of a ready-made candidate pool or immediate service availability.
Explain sector-specific requirements, including regulated experience where relevant. Separate requirements for the role from assumptions about a candidate's background.
03
Confirm fit before committing
For an unfamiliar or highly specialised mandate, ask how the proposed process will establish relevant evidence. Agree research boundaries and any specialist assessment separately.
The team may recommend narrowing the brief or using another approach when the assignment is outside the agreed capability, capacity or commercial scope.
Discuss the right scope
Use the existing enquiry route for a broad, non-sensitive brief. Do not send candidate or employee records at this stage.
