01
What the proposal should specify
The written proposal should name the contracting parties, authorised owners, service scope, deliverables, exclusions, timing assumptions, total fee, taxes and payment milestones.
For hiring assignments, define whether publication, research, review, submission or coordination are included. For programmes, define participant numbers, entitlements, delivery format and any individual limits.
02
Terms that must not be assumed
Any success fee, exclusivity, replacement undertaking, cancellation treatment, refund rule or extension must be expressly agreed. There is no default guarantee of a hire or a fixed time to fill in this guide.
Changes to the brief or programme can change cost and timing. Record changes before extra work starts, including dependencies on employer feedback and participant availability.
03
Keep commercial relationships clear
Optional candidate-paid CVPRO services are separate from employer engagement charges. They do not purchase employer ranking, a submission or a hiring decision.
Ask the team to explain applicable relationships and material conflicts. Governing terms and applicable rights remain relevant; this guide cannot replace an agreed contract or the published service policies.
Discuss the right scope
Use the existing enquiry route for a broad, non-sensitive brief. Do not send candidate or employee records at this stage.
