As the Head of Finance for a fast-growing edtech startup in Bangalore, your role will involve leading the end-to-end finance function for this capex-heavy and operations-intensive business. You will be responsible for various aspects including P&L ownership, FP&A, investor relations, fixed assets management, financial operations, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own and oversee the finance function which includes FP&A, business finance, controllership, AP/AR, tax, audit, compliance, and treasury.• Take the lead in preparing for and executing an IPO, managing audits, DRHP preparation, governance, SEBI compliance, and investor communication.• Manage capex and fixed assets by handling planning, approvals, capitalization, and lifecycle tracking.• Collaborate with business teams to enhance profitability, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.• Establish and lead a high-performing finance team.Candidate Profile:
• Essential requirement: Strong experience in investor relations.• Demonstrated focus on business finance within capex-heavy and operations-intensive sectors.• Preferred qualifications: Engineer + CA or MBA Finance + CA.• 1218+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership.• Hands-on approach, sound commercial acumen, and proven track record in managing sizable teams and budgets.
