About the Role

As the Vice President - Public Relations at our leading integrated communications consultancy, your role will involve strengthening the PR practice across marquee clients, high-impact mandates, and strategic growth initiatives. You will need to provide strong counsel-led thinking, foster deep client trust, and have the ability to build scalable teams in a dynamic agency environment.

Key Responsibilities: - Act as the senior-most strategic advisor for marquee and complex client mandates. - Lead integrated communication strategies covering corporate reputation, brand PR, leadership positioning, crisis communications, and stakeholder engagement.

• Build strong relationships with CXOs, senior leadership, and decision-makers across client organizations.

• Oversee crisis management situations and provide calm, strategic counsel during high-risk scenarios.
• Drive new business acquisition through pitches, proposals, and strategic presentations.

• Identify opportunities for account expansion, cross-selling, and upselling across existing clients.

• Partner with the leadership team to shape the agency's PR offerings and go-to-market strategy.

• Contribute to revenue targets, forecasting, and profitability of the PR vertical.
• Lead, mentor, and develop senior account leaders (Directors, Associate VPs, Group Heads).

• Build high-performing teams with strong strategic thinking, execution excellence, and client orientation.

• Create a culture of learning, accountability, and collaboration.

• Play an active role in hiring, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Maintain strong relationships with senior journalists, editors, and influencers across business, mainstream, and sector-specific media.

• Provide guidance on media strategy, narratives, and message frameworks.

• Stay updated on media trends, newsroom dynamics, and evolving storytelling formats.
• Work closely with digital, social, content, influencer, research, and analytics teams to deliver integrated reputation and communication solutions.

• Champion counsel-led, insight-driven storytelling aligned with client business objectives.

• Encourage innovation in narrative building, media engagement models, and measurement frameworks.

• Support the evolution of modern PR offerings including reputation intelligence, leadership positioning, and purpose-led communications.

Preferred Background:
• Extensive experience in a reputed PR or integrated communications consultancy (agency background mandatory).

• Proven experience working with large Indian and global brands, promoters, and senior leadership teams.

• Strong exposure to corporate reputation, policy/regulatory communication, brand trust, and crisis management.

• Experience working in a high-growth, entrepreneurial agency environment is highly preferred.
