Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and oversee the overall operations of the hospital. The COO will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, quality patient care, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination across all hospital departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • • Lead and oversee day-to-day hospital operations and administrative functions.

  • • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, revenue, profitability, and patient satisfaction.

  • • Monitor hospital performance, occupancy, billing, collections, and departmental targets.

  • • Coordinate effectively with doctors, consultants, nursing, HR, finance, pharmacy, laboratory, MRD, front office, and support services.

  • • Ensure compliance with NABH standards, statutory requirements, and hospital policies.

  • • Drive quality improvement, patient safety, infection control, and service excellence initiatives.

  • • Monitor departmental KPIs and ensure achievement of organizational targets.

  • • Manage operational budgets, cost control, procurement, and resource utilization.

  • • Handle patient/attendant escalations and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.

  • • Lead recruitment, workforce planning, staff performance management, and employee development.

  • • Strengthen hospital processes, SOPs, reporting systems, and internal controls.

  • • Develop business growth initiatives, referral networks, corporate tie-ups, and patient acquisition strategies.

  • • Review MIS and operational reports and present performance updates to the Management/Director.

  • • Ensure effective coordination during audits, inspections, accreditation activities, and regulatory assessments.

  • • Identify operational gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions.

    • Candidate Profile

  • • Graduate degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • • MBA/MHA or equivalent qualification preferred.

  • • 1015 years of progressive experience in hospital/healthcare operations, with significant experience in a senior management position.

  • • Strong knowledge of hospital administration, financial management, quality systems, and healthcare compliance.

  • • Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and hospital-wide operations.

  • • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.

  • • Experience with NABH/accreditation processes will be an advantage.

  • • Candidates with experience in managing multi-department hospitals and revenue-focused operations will be preferred.
