About the Role

Role Overview:
As a high-impact leader in the Data & Analytics function, you will play a crucial role in shaping and driving the risk and control environment. Your main focus will be on ensuring robust governance, regulatory compliance, and effective risk management by partnering with senior stakeholders. You will not only oversee frameworks but also influence decisions, drive accountability, and create meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3 risk professionals to create a high-performing and collaborative team culture. Act as a role model for strong risk and conduct behaviors.

• Own and drive the end-to-end Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process, partnering with stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate risks. Ensure controls are robust, effective, and aligned to risk appetite.

• Lead the lifecycle of self-identified issues from identification through closure. Conduct risk analysis, assess impact against risk appetite, and work closely with SMEs and business leads to define remediation plans. Track, challenge, and ensure timely delivery of actions.

• Establish and chair key governance forums for risk, control, and issue management. Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership. Provide clear, insightful reporting and escalation when required.

• Produce high-quality outputs and Management Information (MI) for senior stakeholders, including the Chief Information Officer (CIO). Deliver a holistic view of risk, governance, compliance, and regulatory exposure. Use data to identify trends, drive decisions, and improve the control environment.

Qualifications Required:

• Strong background in Operational Risk, Controls, or Risk Frameworks (RCSA).

• Proven experience managing issue remediation and governance processes.

• Experience working within Data, Analytics, Technology, or similar environments.

• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.

• Experience leading and developing teams.

• Strong analytical and risk assessment capability.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to translate complex risk concepts into clear, actionable insights.

• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving structure.
